Conclusion: One major concern of the reviewers in our proposal was the possibility of the development of orthotopic mouse model of human prostate cancer. This model was crucial in order to understand the involvement of lymphangiogenesis in prostate cancer metastasis. With the help of Dr. Donald J. Tindall, a well-known researcher in prostate cancer research, we have developed the orthotopic prostate cancer mouse model by implanting LNCaP and PC3 cells into the dorsolateral lobe of immunocompromised mouse prostate.
